No activation code is required to use the software: it works as soon as the installation is complete. Paid licences are then activated from inside the software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plans: Designer (free, personal and commercial use), Pro (US$10\/month), Advanced (US$30\/month).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before you start<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Make sure your workstation meets the minimum requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Windows 11<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quad-core processor at 2.5 GHz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>32 GB of RAM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DirectX 12 compatible graphics card (see the summary list below)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>About 50 GB of free disk space and a good Internet connection: the installer downloads all the installation files, which can take a while.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Compatible graphics cards (summary, based on the Unreal Engine 5.8 documentation)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The base requirement: DirectX 12 and at least 8 GB of video memory. Hardware ray tracing (Lumen) requires a card with dedicated acceleration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>NVIDIA: GeForce RTX 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000 series (hardware ray tracing). Absolute minimum: GTX 1080 (8 GB), without hardware ray tracing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AMD: Radeon RX 6000, 7000 and 9000 series (hardware ray tracing). Absolute minimum: RX 5700 (8 GB).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intel: dedicated Arc A and B series cards (DirectX 12 Ultimate, hardware ray tracing). Note: Intel integrated graphics (Iris, UHD) do not work; their DirectX 12 support is incomplete and they have no hardware ray tracing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommended for large scenes: 12 GB of video memory and more, for example RTX 4070 and up, RX 7800 XT and up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/4reality.ca\/en\/telechargements\/\">Downloads page<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Download the installer 4Reality2026R4_setup.exe. If the download does not start, your browser is probably blocking it: mark the file as safe to allow the download.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run the installer. It first downloads all the installation files (about 50 GB): allow enough time depending on your connection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If Windows shows a blue protection screen asking whether you are sure you want to install, click 'Install anyway'.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The installer then prepares the installation: select the installation folder and accept the licence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finish the installation and launch 4Reality. The software works right away, with no code to enter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On launch, choose: new project or open an existing project. For a new project, the scene selection menu opens: pick your starting scene. Scenes can be changed at any time afterwards, with no impact on your imported models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To activate a Pro or Advanced licence, go to the Account tab in the ribbon menu, inside the software, and sign in.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expected result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4Reality is installed, your project is open on the chosen scene, and your licence is active if you have one. You can import your first model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Common problems<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The download does not start: the browser is blocking the file. Mark the file as safe in the browser to unblock it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The blue Windows screen during installation: this is the Windows protection asking for confirmation. Click 'Install anyway'.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The download seems endless: there are about 50 GB to download.
